A Program of Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment

Come join us to recognize the work of Refugee and Immigrant Self Empowerment (RISE) while celebrating the cultural diversity and many virtues of the New American Community here in Syracuse. This event is free but donations are strongly encouraged to support and further the multitude of services RISE offers. To sponsor this event, make a donation or learn more please click here.

COVID-19 Relief Fundraising

Please consider making a donation to help our New American farmers prepare for this coming farm season. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many of the individuals that SyRAP serves and a contribution will greatly help improve food access by allowing farmer’s to buy seeds and pay lease fees. Thank you in advance for any donation(s) made!

SyRAP is a training program for refugees who are interested in starting their own farming business or acquiring farmland. Farmers go through three years of ENL, agriculture, gardening, marketing, and business training before they lease or buy land on their own.
